There is nothing I enjoy more when I travel than discovering places, people, and local businesses, projects and brands. I love to combine the security that comes from having recommended spots saved in Google Maps - from a previous research leading up to the trip, which for me is when the excitement of the trip really starts - with the magic of discovering places by pure chance. What Guy Debord called “dérive urbaine” (urban drifting), wandering the streets of an unknown city with no direction, just curiosity and your eyes wide open, letting yourself be carried away. You always find real treasures.

Without knowing it, when I wrote the newsletter “Discoveries From Recent Field Trips Around NY + What's On My Wishlist” last November, I had created my first series of contents. And now, in this second installment I immerse myself in the cities of Barcelona and Madrid, the result of a recent express visit back home.
